Tiles with the WOW factor in 2019 blog

Tiling in a bathroom can be a powerful design statement: it’s integral to the bathroom scheme and sets the style and mood of the room. Your choice of tiles is a big decision, and because it’s expensive to change if you get it wrong, people tend to play it safe!

At BATHLINE we are encouraging our customers to be braver and more adventurous when choosing their tiles. Our tile supplier Halo has responded to the latest trends and expanded their collection with beautiful colours, patterns, shapes and sizes, in the most tactile of finishes.

In this blog we’ll look at the top trends for 2019 which will hopefully provide lots of ideas and inspiration to help you make your decision.

Patterned tiles

Patterned tiles like these ones have featured throughout 2018 and the trend is showing no sign of falling out of favour with designers and customers alike. Use them on your walls, or go for a big statement and make your floor the feature of your bathroom.

Hexagon tiles

Honeycomb or hexagon shapes are an interesting alternative to square and rectangular tiles. Run this geometric look from floor to ceiling and mix it up with mosaic tiles in the same shape or add square and brick shapes. This works especially well in a monochrome colour scheme as you can see!

Brick Style Tiles

The brick style tile will never go out of fashion, but you can update the look by tiling them vertically, horizontally, in different colours, or lengths and widths. The possibilities are endless. Be creative and let your imagination run wild!

Coloured tiles

As it’s February and it’s the month for love, we thought we’d focus on the colour pink! A pink scheme is beautiful with soft greys on the floor or walls. Pair with the latest trend in tapware in black, gold or brass – the ‘go to’ choice of top bathroom designers in 2019.

Fishscale Tiles

Fish scale tiles add an element of dimension and offer a softer look for the homeowner who wants to avoid a boxy look. Go for one colour or mix and match with tiles in the same colour tones.

Marble Tiles

White and grey marble tiles continue to be popular materials into 2019 for bathrooms. They are classic and timeless so they don’t date, and can span traditional to modern bathroom aesthetics. Attraction Marble is probably one of the most popular tiles we sell. For maximum impact use floor to ceiling; the result of which is a rich and luxurious bathroom scheme.

Textured Marble Tiles

Halo Tiles is launching this beautiful Antica tile range soon! It comprises three different marbles which are characterised by scratches, by aging and by imperfections giving them texture and depth. The grey tones provide a modern colourway which would look equally as stunning in a bathroom or kitchen.
